Daniel Perez-Rapela is a first-year PhD student at the University of Virginia Center for Applied Biomechanics. He is the former Responsible for Side Impact Occupant Safety at the Simulation Department of SEAT (VW-Group). During his career, Perez-Rapela has developed restrains systems for both the European and North American market. His current research focuses on Pedestrian and Occupant Protection.
