Alex’s research focused on injury prevention in athletics and sports, with a concentration on soft tissue injuries. Alex was responsible for designing and conducting PMHS experiments to collect data for model optimization, with the ultimate goals of creating injury criteria and prevention methods for various sports injuries.

Alex graduated from UVa in July 2017 after defending his Master’s thesis entitled “Syndesmotic Ankle Sprains in Large Males.”
